Are You New Here?

This is where you start

Greetings From The Rev. T.P. Musana

Hello and welcome to our church website, it’s always a real joy for us to meet and have new members in our church family. Here you will find useful information about who we are and our belief. Our purpose is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. You are welcome to join our church and start a new life with us.
Whatever your next step is, it’s time to take a bold step of faith out of your comfort zone and discover what God has planned for you. We believe that you can’t go with God and stay where you are.

What to expect when you visit us

We are a community that loves Jesus, loves people and loves life.
No matter who you are, no matter what you have been through, you’re welcome and wanted here.
In short, what you should expect is awesome music, encouraging bible messages, friendly & real people, a place your kids will love, and available prayer.

The Rev TP Musana has been the Pastor here since 2016. Click Here to get to know a bit more about him!

He has a background in law and ministry. Tebogo loves to see people come to know Jesus and to help people discover and grow into all that God has for them.

Baptism is one of the African Methodist Episcopal Church’s holy sacraments. It is one of the most sacred events in your Christian life. In a sacrament, God uses common elements – in this case, water – as means or vehicles of divine grace. Baptism is administered by the church as the Body of Christ. It is the act of God through the grace of Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.

At The Well, we recognize the water baptism of infants, children, and adults. Methodists baptize people of all ages who have not previously received the sacrament. Even when the people being baptized are believing adults and are ready to profess their faith, our emphasis is upon the gracious action of God rather than upon the individual’s decision.

If you were baptized prior to joining AME Church @The Well, we believe the grace of God in the sacrament of water Baptism remains in effect.  We continue to recognize the Sovereignty of God and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in the Holy Sacrament of water Baptism as confirmed by Jesus, the Christ.

One of the distinct things about our church is what we’re an all-generations and all nations community. There’s a place for you here. We welcome one and all, regardless of gender, background or race.

There is something special about large gatherings. They remind us we’re not alone. Our Sunday gatherings are great opportunities to encounter God and meet great people.

Don’t worry if it’s your first time. We have people that can help you every step of the way. From showing you where to go to assisting you with bibles and worship music, they will walk with you every step of the way.

Our church has a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casually. We have no expectations for attire.

You should know that we are part of the International A.M.E. Church body, and should you choose to be a member of any of our uniformed ministries, you are more than welcome to, however, this is not mandatory.

Our church is located at 82 Khuzimpi Shezi Steet in Durban CBD. We have provided a map here for directions here.

We offer a number of opportunities for you to serve. As a community church, we like to work together, from making coffee on a Sunday morning or singing in the worship team to teaching Children’s Church or packing out chairs – there’s a spot for you and we’d love your help! We also have a number of Ministries you can be part of. If you’re keen to serve, speak to the pastor at the end of the service.
