Sons of Allen Ministry

Our Mission

As the official Men’s Ministry we foster an atmosphere where men are inspired through worship, study and prayer to have fellowship and relationship with God and their fellowmen. The Sons of Allen build men as providers, protectors, producers, and priests for their families and the community of the faithful.

Our Purpose

The Sons of Allen Ministry seeks to galvanize the latent power of men for the worship of God and service to God’s people equipping them through the vital, vibrant, spiritual, and social message of God and the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

The YPD is a youth training program under the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) that provides youth training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of church life. By providing training in Evangelism (Community projects), Christian Social Relations (Workshops) and Education programs the YPD is designed to connect youth more fully to the mission of the church and increase knowledge of the African Methodist Episcopal Church history and the scriptures.

Our Pledge

I pledge my willing and untiring service to all efforts of the Young People’s and Children’s Division to aid the needy and suffering people, regardless of race, color or creed. I further pledge to take the Bible as my guide, to aid my church, and to attend meetings regularly. In all these tasks I seek the Savior’s guidance.

Make a Difference

Most of us want to make a difference. We believe that what we do within each ministry should flow purposefully out of what we value and love. God has gifted each of us with a particular set of skills to do just that in Durban.

As a Christ follower, one of the most powerful lessons you can put into action is serving in the church. Contact our ministry officers for more information.
